Hello, I'm Sugawara, a designer at YOUTA. There are many cool clothes for men, but not many bags. So, I thought, "Let's make our own." With this straightforward idea, I launched the men's bag brand "YOUTA" in 2006. The material I focused on, after working in various apparel-related fields like clothing, watches, and shoes, was synthetic leather. It's lightweight and resistant to rain, so it doesn't require maintenance like real leather. The fact that it's not common was also a reason I chose synthetic leather.
