YOUTA Representative & Designer, Sugawara There were many cool clothes for men, but few bags. So, I decided to create them ourselves. With that straightforward idea, I launched the men's bag brand "YOUTA" in 2006. The material I focused on, after working in various apparel fields like clothes, watches, and shoes, was synthetic leather. It's lightweight and water-resistant, requiring no maintenance unlike real leather. The fact that it's a "vegan leather," made from non-animal materials, also contributed to my choice of synthetic leather.
